ADA Gallery Tour to Niigata
ADA Gallery Tour to Niigata is optional tour designed for participants from abroad.
ADA Nature Aquarium Gallery in Niigata is usually open on weekends, and National holidays in Japan, but due to the Nature Aquarium Party on October 17th, our gallery will be closed on October 17th and 18th. So please keep in mind joining this ADA Gallery Tour is the only way to visit Nature Aquarium Gallery during your stay in Japan, unless you stay longer until October 24th or arrive one week early.
Tour Summary
In the tour, we first visit Nature Aquarium Gallery in ADA main office, then Mr. Amano's private residence for seeing his 4x1.5x1.5m Nature Aquarium layouts. In the evening, we will stay in Japanese style Ryokan (Yahiko Grand Hotel), and enjoy traditional style Japanese delicacies of the season at dinner time. The ryokan is a place where Japanese people go to relax and be comfortable in, and it has some unique public baths such as a large rock bath, and an open-air bath.
Admission fee
- Tour admission fee + hotel room for Oct.19th : JPY12,000
- Tour admission fee : JPY10,000
(dinner, and transportation from Tsubame-Sanjo St. to ADA)
Tour fee is JPY12,000. If you wish to return to Tokyo after the dinner without staying overnight in the ryokan, tour fee is JPY10,000. The fee includes dinner and breakfast, and overnight stay at Ryokan.
The round trip Shinkansen train ticket is not included in the tour fee. For those of you participating optional tour to Niigata, we strongly recommend to purchase a train pass called JR East Pass for covering your trip to Niigata by Shinkansen train.
JR East Pass
During the period of Nature Aquarium Party, JR East (East Japan Railways) is offering special deal, a flexible 3-day unlimited rail travel pass on all JR East lines and trains for JPY10,000. This is very economical for traveling to Niigata, as it usually costs from Tokyo to Niigata around JPY9,000 ONE-WAY. This pass is available only for tourists from abroad, and you can purchase the pass at Narita Airport JR East ticket counter, or major JR terminal stations in metropolitan Tokyo area. You can also purchase exchange order (voucher) for JR East Pass online.
*Attention
For travelers with Japan Rail pass or JR East Pass, Shinkansen seat reservation is now available through online. You can make a reservation for this TOKI 319 on October 19th, from September 19th, and pick up the reservation ticket at time of arrival at Narita Airport with JR East Pass.
